This backyard style wedding on the edge of Brooklyn and Queens felt like a hand crafted oasis of pink and love and community—

Vanessa and Dan got married on one of the hottest days of the year and I’ll be completely honest when I say I wasn’t super excited about the idea of spending 6 hours outside in the humidity. But I am not exaggerating when I say that once I started taking photos, any discomfort from the weather melted away because this wedding was just so sweet. It was designed with such intention and personality, from the gorgeous florals all done by the bride herself the night before her wedding, to the childhood photographs decorating the tables, every aspect of this wedding was intentional and so clearly represented Vanessa, Dan, and their friends and family. Also, the Birria tacos that I ate from one of the food trucks were maybe the best I’ve ever had.

Second shot for Andrea Buritica on digital, 35mm film, and 120mm film.
