Mike proposed to Alexandra on a crisp autumn day in Central Park, and it was truly magical—

A month or two ago, Alexandra responded to something I put on my Instagram story about wanting to take photos of a couple in NYC this fall. A few weeks after she and I made the plan together, Mike messaged me and said that he had a little idea—he said that he had a ring and was thinking about when to pop the question. He also said that Alexandra had mentioned that she wanted a hiding photographer to take photos when he proposes, so he just thought, “what if I propose during our photo session in the city with the photographer hiding in plain sight?” Of course, I was 1000% down, and so he and I had a phone conversation and were texting back and forth for a few weeks, coming up with the grand plan. We met up at a coffee shop in the upper west side and took a walk to Central Park. We found a private spot on a big rock nestled in some trees which is where Mike proposed, and it was honestly really magical to witness the surprise and joy on Alexandra’s face. For the rest of the shoot, we just celebrated their engagement and took sunset photos at Bow Bridge and photos under lamp posts. The day really did feel like something out of a movie!
